With everyone’s highlight reel running on social media these days, everyone seems to be competing for attention and it can be really hard to stand out! So if we are trying to grow our business, how do we grab the attention of our ideal customers and really stand out especially in a saturated market? How do you sell something when everyone seems to be selling something online these days? Today, I am going to share my top tips for how to stand out on social media and sell in a saturated market!

How to stand out on social media tip #1:
Know who your ideal client is! – This is going to be huge. You have to know exactly who you are talking to and who you are trying to attract so that you can post content about what they want or need to hear. So make sure you know who they are, what they like, what they don’t like, and what they struggle with and then those are the things that you want to talk about.
It’s a really good thing if you can get your reader to say “yes me too” and “Wow! How did she know I feel like that?” Because once they say those two things they are going to tune in every time you have something to say!
How to stand out on social media tip #2:
Be authentic – We have been hearing this a lot in the online space, “Be authentic”. It’s really because, when you are authentic to your audience, you show your audience that you are a real person. Don’t be afraid to share who you are, or a little bit about your life. This does NOT mean to give away all of your marriage secrets hahaha.
However, you should tell your story if it will help people. Most likely your ideal client is the same person as you just a few steps behind you. So if you had an amazing weight loss or life change from eating clean… start talking about your journey. Your feelings and situations that your unhealthy life caused.
Do more than just sell, offer value or service. Genuinely find something that you can do with your business that gives people value and that you like doing or are passionate about.
Don’t just do something because you think people will eventually buy from you, don’t be fake. People can smell fakeness a mile away especially from network marketers they and are just waiting for it. So if you don’t totally love what you are doing or selling, you need to make an adjustment to something you love.
How to stand out on social media tip #3:
Be original – this is HUGE! First of all… every one is an original. You are different than the next person in your MLM selling the same thing, and your audience is different as well. The people that follow me are different than the people that follow Suzie… they follow me for different reasons. So Be original, people are going to buy from you because they like YOU…. And They trust you.
People are going to be drawn to you because they like the way you do things, the way you talk, your personality. On the other side, people won’t buy from you for the same reasons, BUT that is what you want… you want the people that do like you, to become super fans because then they will refer you to others and referrals are GOLD, so you really need to be yourself!
Think of your own ideas, don’t do motivation Monday posts or live videos just because Sally is doing it, and it works for her… find the things that work well for you and your audience. This is where trial and error and creativeness comes in. Think of your own stuff!!
How to stand out on social media tip #4:
Be professional – this is going to really be huge I say this a lot I know. Because let’s be honest, listen to these two shopping experiences and think of the person you would buy from.
If you were walking into a store to buy a dress (lets say its an important event that you need a dress for) and as soon as you walked in you were greeted, they offered to help you they gave you a coupon and took your email address they offered you a drink and all the things, then you go to the store next door and they have like 2 people working there, they are sitting behind the counter, don’t say hello, gossiping about their friends eating… I don’t know. Just barely worrying about you… or helping you. Who are you going to buy from?
Your online business is NO different! Offer value like opt-ins, free guides, or tutorials, thank people for buying from you, have an email sequence go out after they buy a certain product that walks them through using it and offers help after the sale.
Before the sale, have a good website that is easy to navigate, it shows your brand and has tons of things for your customer to make their lives better in some way. Use email marketing, do live videos, whatever it is that works well for your business do that… and that leads me to the next and last one….
How to stand out on social media tip #5:
Be consistent!! All of this won’t mean anything if you aren’t consistent! I am really struggling with this right now because I have so many changes going on, and that is when you need to ask for help! Consistently show up as yourself authentically, consistently send those thank you emails or offer to opt-ins. Consistently go live or tell your story. This is going to CONSISTENTLY bring you, new customers, I promise!

I am just diving straight in today… you can be the juiciest peach in the tree and there is always going to be someone that doesn’t like peaches, so…. Lets be honest, we want everyone to buy our products, we want a million followers, we want fans.
I am here to bust your bubble sister…. it’s just not going to happen.
not everybody is going to like our products or our business,
not everybody is going to want to buy our products or join our team.
not everybody is going to like us or what we have to say
Maybe they love the products, but they’re not going to want to sell the product…
And I am here to tell you that is all okay!!
think about what the differences in these two statements:
“ this is the best energy drink it helps everybody get energy, everybody needs it, get it now while it’s on sale”
this energy drink is perfect for moms who have Toddlers and don’t want to drink coffee all day long. it will keep you going so that you can get all of your jobs done and still have the energy to play with your kids. You may even prepare a hot meal for your husband to eat when he gets home from work and do it all without falling asleep at 7.
With those two statements, when you’re talking to a bunch of people and you’re very broad with your going to go over everybody’s head, nobody is going to tune in. becuase everybody sells an energy drink we can walk down the street to the gas station and buy an energy drink we can probably even buy it cheaper than that, why sould we get one from you?.
However if I’m a mom that is tired everyday and I’m lucky if I get a hot meal on the table because I just want to nap in the afternoon instead of Cook I am ALL EARS….. you have my attention as soon as you start talking about me, and if you can solve my problem…. I’m going to pay whatever it cost to solve that problem, and I’m going to buy your energy drink
Now again these are very Broad examples but you can see that when you start talking to a specific person about a specific situation you’re going to get their attention and when you can solve somebody’s problem and make somebody happy or change their life in some way ….. They are going to be a raving fan!
Let’s talk about the opportunity For a minute …………when you’re talking about your business opportunity do you just want to say my team is crushing it we’re best friends this is an awesome business I love working for my phone you got to join my team we are awesome!
or do you want to speak to that mom who has postpartum depression and is cooped up in her house with a newborn in two toddlers……. And talk about how this business has helped you bounce back from postpartum depression by giving you a purpose and Friends and even an income to be able to go do fun things like take your mom out for lunch guess what when you say the second thing that Mom that is feeling cooped up in her house that would love to be able to take her mom out to lunch… and she’s going to start listening to you she might not join your team today but she’s going to start listening to everything you have to say about it and if your marketing well and you keep on This role she’s going to join your team eventually
So if you’ve been around in the business world for online marketing you know a little world word called neeche Anish is a particular group of people this can also be called your ideal customer your avatar or your perfect person.
and this is the one person if you could create someone this is who it would be…. the person that
loves your product
that joins on the first day of hearing about it
that comments on everything you have to say
buys every new product that comes out tells all their friends about you
that is your ideal customer but more than that…… we have to know all about that actual person we want to know what they like what they don’t like….. what they struggle with…… where they hang out….. What type of content do they prefer ……..do they listen to podcast do they watch YouTube ………..do they like reading maybe they like blogs or emails more than watching videos
maybe they don’t have time to sit down and they prefer podcast …..when you know these things you can speak directly to her
When you find your Niche and you know where they Hangout you can start talking to them directly on their platform every day the next thing you know you have an audience. Typically your niche is going to be you a few steps back.
so to help you a little bit I’ll tell you who my ideal client is my ideal clients name is Susie and Susie sells products for three different MLM companies……..
she is a stay-at-home mom of three…….. she loves entrepreneurship
and does all of these businesses becuase she desperately wants and enjoys having her own money and being able to help her husband financially provide for her kids to be able to do extra things she likes to go shopping with her mom on the weekends and she likes to hang out with her friends and go to the zoo or the museum with her kids and
she does all of these businesses so that she can afford to do that
she also likes having something for herself…. when she is serving her kids all day and taking care of everybody else she likes to be able to sit down and have her own business And her own friends in her own customers she likes to be able to make a difference in people’s lives she likes to make people feel better and feel better about themselves
however she doesn’t have a lot of time to research how to grow her business
she doesn’t know how to use Instagram and nobody has ever taught her that she can use email and Pinterest for her business
So now based off all of those things that I just said about my ideal customer do you see all the different things that I can talk about to gain her interest to get her to start following me all the things in the problems that I can solve for her with my products or my business
oh she likes to go shopping with her mom but can’t afford to do that….. I can help her be super successful
oh she doesn’t even know that she can use Pinterest for her business…perfect I have a course that teaches exactly How to use Pinterest for your business so then I can tell her all the benefits of using Pinterest …and how customers will find her because they’re searching for her there
I’m going to talk about ways that she can stop spamming her network by using email for her business and how she can be seen by all of her customers instead of dealing with algorithms
She is super busy so i am goign to talk about automating different parts of her business to create more time in her schedule.
so you see everything I listed about my customer I can talk directly to those issues whether they’re good or bad and basically have her thinking ……I have everything solved for her .right?
I can create products that she needs! She might not even know that she needs the courses until I tell her….. and that’s the same with your products……. some people don’t even know that they have an issue until you shed light on it.. or you tell them they have an issue
some people don’t even know your products exist until you tell them …and some people might think that there is no cure for their issue or there problems until you start talking about that problem and telling them how you’re going to fix it
So when you know who your customer is and you know everything about them you can speak directly to them instead of speaking very broad to everybody.
I would rather have 100 followers on Instagram that need and want my service then 100,000 followers they could care less about what I sell or what I do you want customers that are going to be raving fans so that they tell people about you and your products and ultimately they keep coming back or they join your team and they start selling the products themselves and this is how you find those people

We are talking about why network marketers want to brand themselves and not their network marketing company! Ok, I know you are thinking… whaaa? My MLM has a brand, I just use their branding that’s easy.
Annnnd Yes, you can do that, but you may want to think twice.
You are SO much more than a network marketer, and you have so much more to give than the products that you sell for your MLM company. I want you to be able to Create a business that is unique to you and use your MLM products as a tool to help your customers.
Today I am not only talking about what branding is and why it’s SO very important for network marketers…. But we are going to list ways that you can actually start branding your business today.
Why network marketers want to brand themselves – Why is a personal brand important?
I think when we become our own business, from the outside where your network is looking in on your business, We become a real business.
We become more professional, and more of an expert at what we are doing. It’s doesn’t mean we aren’t MLMs it just means we are more than that, and by the way, we actually have awesome products that you can purchase to help you get whatever it is you need.
I talked before about finding solutions for your network…. You do that, and use your products as tools. But ultimately you are your own business. And you can portray that really well with good branding.
This is the opposite of what everyone has been doing in the past but I am seeing more and more people starting to do this and have a lot of success!
It’s not enough anymore to just sell popular products. For instance, a lot people are not going to just buy from you because you sell shampoo or makeup. They can get that anywhere… You have to be able to connect with people on a more emotional level.
Alright before we get too deep into this, Let’s first talk about what a brand is.
Why network marketers want to brand themselves – What is a brand?
Typically when you think of branding you think of color, logo, songs. Right? And It is those…. But it’s also so much more!
Your brand is you! It’s your style and colors of the clothes you wear, your personality, and your tone of voice. Are you upbeat and silly?? Or reserved and quiet?? Are you fun, classy, energetic, feminine?
It’s how you make people feel when they see you or talk to you? And it’s not just on social media or pictures, it can be in your packaging, your samples, or thank you cards, business cards.
Like I said, people don’t usually buy things anymore because they need them… There are way too many options out there. They buy things from people that they like, know, and trust, but more importantly, the person that they can relate to.
Think about some of these things and try to stick to that every time you put out your content or create something. They are important because when you build a brand and you are consistent… It helps to connect you to your target market. It helps your customer to recognize you and they will also remember you more easily!
Grab this download ASAP it’s going to help you figure out your own visual brand! It’s a branding template that you can use to keep track of your brand, It’s my personal one but you just fill it in with your own info. I refer to mine ALL the time when I am making images for Pinterest or social media. It’s really helpful especially when you are trying to remember those darn color numbers!
Think about what you want to be known for!
So, I know you are probably STILL thinking, I am in network marketing why does this matter? We already have colors images and logo… But, I want you to think about what you want to be most known for?
Do you want to be the health and wellness coach, that helps moms lose baby weight through a special diet? Or are you going to be that healthy MLM company’s distributor?
Or how about a hair care specialist who helps women restore their hair after postnatal hair loss ( I don’t know if that’s really a thing that is just what came out haha) or are you your MLM distributor?
Do you want to be known as the mom that helps other moms get control of their skin and look younger by using better makeup and teaching how to use it correctly? Or do you just sell MLM make up and announce sales?
Do you see where this is going?
This ties in a little bit with your message what is your message?? What are you going to tell people that you do?? You don’t want to just be a Network marketer that sells makeup… or a Network marketer that sells oils.
You want to be “Becky the natural living oil queen” be the expert that women come to when they want to start living more natural lives by avoiding harmful chemicals and using essential oils.
Get specific with your message and repeat yourself all the time.
(It obviously doesn’t have to be that extreme I’m just making it extremely obvious to understand)
So let’s say it’s the new year and you’re pumped to start this new lifestyle, this new diet and you’re going to lose weight you’re going to get healthier! You’re also a mom of four kids and you work full time…. and you have 2 friends…… Susie and a friend Sally that you have been following because they always have great info about losing weight as a working mom.
So you decide you are going to have one of them help you with the start to your new year and the start to your new healthy Journey. You go to each website…
Susie’s first: you click on her link and it takes you straight to her MLM company’s website but it just information about the products and buying products maybe even some fun facts to help you lose weight but nothing really catered to you….. it’s basically everything you need to know about buying products.
Then you go to Sally: you click on the website and it takes you to this beautiful clean web page called “Sally’s Sweet Life” she has this awesome logo with all her contact info. There is a blog with information about living healthy as a working mom. There are tips to keep you healthy during the busy day, and a whole section of recipes that are easy to make after work, there’s even a free download for a free 7-Day workout plan that you can do from home in 10 minutes!!! Then over to the left, she also has a shop tab where you can find different products that you can purchase to help you live a healthier lifestyle. As well as links embedded in each blog post so that when you are reading you can find the exact product that she is talking about like this.
I don’t know about you…. but I’m probably going to ask Sally to help me get started! And when Sally offers products for me to purchase, I’m probably going to buy them because I’m pretty confident that she knows exactly what she’s talking about! She seems more professional to me, she is more helpful and reliable. She is SO much more than a network marketer.
(which right now is typically the goal because people are so afraid of network marketers)
Why network marketers want to brand themselves – Here are some things that you can do today, to start branding yourself.
Start simply with a logo…….. you can do this for free! If you go to Canva, they have a whole bunch of templates for logos. You can create your own or you can just choose one of theirs and plug in your colors and your information.
If you are saying right now “girl, I don’t have time for that or it sounds too difficult” then have someone make one for you!!! Etsy or Creative market are great places to start! They even have branding packages where they give you colors logos fonts the whole deal.
Now once you have that make sure you use it! Remember to be consistent.
Start by just putting that logo on everything you do, like your email header, or any image you post on social media. You want people to start to recognize your logo as your brand.
If you do live video you can use a product like ecam or obs (obs is free i believe) every time you go live you can have your logo in the top corner,
2. Choose Your brand colors and fonts.When you use Canva to create your images for social media or your website …….you can actually save your font and your brand colors there so you can easily keep all of your images on brand.
You also want to wear your brand colors when you take pictures or go LIVE.
Use those colors in all of your marketing (business cards, site colors, ect.)
Whatever your style or colors are, have your background match that. It can be as simple as standing in front of a wall with your colors or having a backdrop that shows your brand style.
There was a girl that I followed, she was so happy and spunky! She loved all things glitter so she had a background for her LIVE videos that was just a sequin piece of fabric and it was perfect for her brand! There’s another woman I know that lives on a farm, so her brand is rustic farmhouse living.
Be consistent with it ….and just stick to it. It’s definitely a process. I am still slowly starting to get more pictures that are on brand for me for my website. So please know it’s not going to be perfect right away, but stick to it and have fun!
3. Now, if you’re like, “ok I got that, give me more… “and you want to take it one step further….. you can (and eventually should in my opinion), create your own website!
These days its really not that hard, inside of The Mama Means Business Academy I walk you through exactly how to do this but there are a lot of videos and tutorials out there that will help you.
There are also some really cheap websites that you can use to build your website on, however… Definitely, do some research before you choose to see which one has the features that work best for you and your business.
Once you have a website, you can add different pages on your site. you can have a blog…. ( I think of a blog as just one place where all your social media posts are) and then you can have a shop page with your products.
You can customize your site and really make it your own according to your brand. Some fun ideas are to do a featured item each month, add in some awesome opt-ins for your customers to download or special resources, have a recipe page or a tutorial page.
NOW you can pin all of that content to Pinterest and that drives traffic to your website!!
But Pinterest… that is a whoooole topic for another day.
Why network marketers want to brand themselves – the advantages!
There are some advantages of having your own website and branding yourself, as your own business…. If you ever want to pivot in your business… maybe you want to start selling something else, or maybe your MLM company goes out of business. Then you’re no longer the Young Living distributor or the Monat market partner and you don’t have a business.
BUT, if you have branded yourself, you can do anything that you’re passionate about!
You can still sell shampoo but then you can also teach women different ways to style their hair by having a whole page of tutorials…. you can have a Blog on there encouraging moms and do tutorials on easy mom hairstyles or little girl hairstyles.
Take my business for example:
For me, for instance, once I started branding myself I wasn’t just a Beauty Guide anymore with my MLM. I was Jennie Hoover and my business is Mama Means Business. I am still a beauty guide with my MLM, but I also help other women with their own MLMs. With a podcast and a membership site. My courses, and a blog all under the Mama Means Business Brand. My brand is evolving as I evolve! And you WILL evolve too!
So it doesn’t matter what you evolve to you’re always going to be yourself so start your business as yourself not your network marketing company!
Your brand all around…. is the way you make people feel, the way people think of you, the way you help people, your brand is you! And when you are you, you’re going to attract people that need someone just like you and THAT is the sweet spot!

I am going to keep this short and sweet! Depending on your network marketing business or products November and Dec can be your best months in sales. Holiday, end of the year, but it also means that New Years is right around the corner! I want to share how to prepare your MLM business for the new year!
It’s December right now …..we are in full blown network marketing chaos. Everyone is selling something… everyone has a sale and everyone’s product is the best gift, right? I want to talk about a couple things today but, First….. let’s talk about some ways you can get on that train….without being spammy.
Because You definitely want to be talking to your network about the sales that you offer…. But always remember to do it in a non-salesy way.
How to offer your direct sales holiday specials without spamming your network!
You can offer holiday sales and specials for your business by:
creating your own graphics
going live… you want to be talking about the benefits of each product….. and the benefits of the benefits. (If you haven’t heard this before, let me explain. Every product has a benefit for using it, but what is the benefit of that to your customer? That is what you want to sell.You aren’t just selling a nutrition drink because its on sale, you are selling an easy meal for moms on the go… then the benefit of that is they are actually on time because they didn’t have to cook their breakfast. Ok? Now you can take that and apply to your products whatever benefits they have.
Next is gift cards, I did this last year and it worked really well. Offer Gift cards! IF you have gift cards from your company use those! If not and your company allows… make them! This will help you get sales early in the month of January when people are cashing them in! They also will tend to spend more than the gift card if they are like me. You can even make them look nice in a gift bag if you have extra or get some at the dollar store. Those are perfect for wives, teachers, neighbors friends. Use the gift card idea and make it easy for your customer!
So Christmas can definitely make sales really easy, but what is more important for your business is…. the new year coming!
How to use the New Year to grow your network marketing business!
The new year brings two things… resolutions and debt. And most likely Both of those can be solved by joining network marketing!
Last year the average American had $1000 in debt going into the new year from Christmas (market watch.com)
People are looking to change their lives and start new things.. and People are also looking to pay off Christmas debt! So you have to make sure that you show your network that has been following you that your business is so much more than sales.
Make sure to show the change it has made in you as a person and the people you work with. Show how it has helped you pay for Christmas if it has..
Be on top of your game! You want to be warming your network up to be open to hearing about the opportunity in January when they are ready to start something new for themselves.
Post regularly, batch if you have to. Remember to sit down and write out all of your posts and emails when you have time to concentrate on them. That way your brain is in the zone and you are your most creative.
Be more! You can’t just throw a post on social media and hope someone buys, you have to be more, you have to try, you have to offer solutions and help people!

Hey, there friend!! Today, I want to talk about a subject I like to call the new way to MLM and how to get more customers without the old MLM ways! So if you are in network marketing you know that MLM just means multi-level marketing or some say direct sales. Whatever you call it, and quite frankly people are turned off by it.
Network Marketers are scary people!
People hear one of those words and automatically want to walk, I mean RUN the other way just to avoid that person!
This is the real kicker…. even if that person is interested in the product, they may NEVER reach out and ask you because they’re afraid, they think “As soon as I this girl about her lipstick she’s going to try to sell me everything else in her collection”
Right?? And to be honest, people have the absolute right to think that way because… how many times have you received a cold message from somebody asking you to join their team or their challenge? Maybe they’re even asking you to buy something that you already sell in your own MLM I have had that happen!
I am not knocking anyone, we all do these things! When we start our network marketing businesses were really excited and we see everyone having success and we just want to grow really big…. really fast!
But we don’t quite have the right training or knowledge and so those are the things we do.
So if we already have that against us, people hear the word and want to avoid you, then we need to make some serious changes in the way we do business or they are just going to keep running!
Today I want to just plant some seeds to get our minds thinking in a new direction and get our business strategy turned around a bit.
Let’s start with what used to work.
SIDE NOTE: I am not throwing anyone under the bus, I am not talking about anyone specifically so please don’t think I am talking about you or be offended, we are all guilty of a couple of these I’m sure. Besides, You only know what you know, and its what were are taught to do when we join. Most of us are moms working at our sticky kitchen table, we don’t have time to take marketing classes right, so we just do what everyone else does or what people tell us.
What I remember in the past with MLM companies were some of these things:
Posting stock photos on facebook with the product and price, or the BOGO offers.
We are taught to post 3 times a day about 3 different topics, like family, hobby, and business.
We tell everyone about our business and hand out catalogs.
Ask all of our friends to have home parties
Cold messaging, yes this is STILL being taught!! (I heard one lady recently tell me that her company tells them to gather phone numbers and call people asking them if they want to place an order)
and SO MANY MORE
The problem –the market is always changing. Marketing is changing, and people are changing.
If you try to book 4 friends to have in-home parties… its hard. People are busy these days. People are turned off my MLMs, to begin with, they don’t want to bug their friends.
Then there are the Facebook parties….. there have been so many in the past, that people aren’t even seeing that they are invited. If they do see it, they ignore it, TRUST ME!
Posts with your stock image from your company… people are scrolling past and the post about how you can work from your phone, people are numb to it now. It’s just another commercial.
The solution – We need to step outside of “the normal” by using other platforms, email, Pinterest, Instagram or podcasting!
Do not feel stuck to Facebook! Do not feel like you have to post 3 times a day, do not feel like you have to spam your personal facebook page. You need to be where your niche is! If your niche is on Facebook, use a Facebook business page or facebook group! Pay for ads (if you have the budget of course).
Not every person or business is the same!
The next thing that I want to offer is that what works for one person and their business…. doesn’t necessarily work for another person and their business.
So think of it this way: if you tell five women to go live on Facebook and sell one blanket… the same blanket ….. everybody has it ….and two of the women are very outgoing and friendly they have lots of confidence … and they love being around people they love being in the spotlight!
Now the other three are the exact opposite they’re very shy ….they’re very introverted, they like being around people (but it drains their energy) that they definitely don’t like being the center of attention. ……so live video scares them to death!
Those women that go LIVE, they’re going to come across as not very sure of themselves which comes across as not being very sure of their product ….and if you’re not sure of your product, your customers won’t be either.
So you guessed it, those three shy women aren’t going to do very well and after a while they’re going to start to lose money and end up giving up….. the other two that are really good at that they’re going to do really well and their lives are going to be changed! They’re going to be able to financially help their families maybe quit their nine-to-five job, or stay home with their baby, go on crazy vacations ect. The other three don’t get to experience that because of the way they think they have to run their business. It’s so sad to me!
I believe that MLM companies can be for everybody and everybody can be successful at them ….you just have to work in different ways, ways that are unique to you.
Be a HUMAN!
Next, be sure to show that you are human! You are a human with feelings, emotions, and real life posts, and do not have to have a perfect appearance everytime you post a photo or video.
Try to use Instagram stories and let your network follow your life and your journey. This is something I am bad at, I always forget, or I think “nobody cares about that”…. But trust me… people want to watch! People may not care, but it lets people see YOU… the real you. Why do you want people to know the real you? You want people to feel like they know you….
Take a reality show for instance like The Bachelor! When you watch them every Monday and you get all into the show, you feel like you are besties with them! Social media is the same way….
When people know you, they most likely LIKE you and then they are going to buy from you. People buy off of emotion, not because there is a sale! They buy from people they like know and trust, and they refer people they like and trust to their friends.

Solve not sell!
Last but definitely not least, solve problems do not sell products! Help people!
By helping people you will make more money and grow faster than just trying to get anyone to buy your products. Think of a way that you can help, give value or solve problems and write or speak off of that.
People do not buy products they buy the solution that the product gives.
You may be selling makeup… but what you are really selling is confidence so that women can have more fun on their date night getting glam!
You may be selling protein shakes but what you are really selling is a healthier lifestyle.
You may be selling oils, but what you are really selling is a more natural way to live.
Those are the things you want to talk about and then use your products as tools to help your audience get that result. The more you talk about these things the more people will recognize you as an expert in your industry, then the more they are going to refer you to others as well.

Don’t be stuck in the trap of doing what everyone else is doing. If you love Pinterest and you understand it well, use it for your business!! It’s amazing for business, its a search engine, free advertisement and people are looking for your products there!
If you love to write, blog about your products! And for heaven’s sake please use email!!! Email is where you can directly commnicate to your audience without dealing with the algorithms! You can send newsletters that include your shopping link and all of your sales for the month and that is going to be taken a lot better than blasting your sales on Facebook.
Care about people, not sales or money or promotions. While all of those are good, they aren’t going to sustain your business. Help and offer value and the value will be returned to you tenfold.

FIRST THINGS FIRST!

Ok, let’s get to it. In network marketing its not enough anymore to just post on social media and have facebook parties. You need to build a relationship and that is exactly what we are going to do through your email marketing.
When you are reading these email ideas that you can send to your new email list, just imagine how many people you can reach directly. As well as all of the different things you can send for each!
1. Welcome your new friends!
Once people join your email list, or opt-in to get your list, set up a campaign to welcome them. This email should be short and sweet and just thank them for following along with you. Introduce yourself and let them know what to expect to see from you in their email box.
For me, a newsletter is my #1 of all the email ideas that you can send to your new email list. A monthly or weekly newsletter is HUGE for network marketing for so many reasons. You stay in front of your customer so they are thinking of you when they are ready to purchase what you are selling.
You are automating your business by giving them your shopping link for the month, you are following up with past customers, potential customers, and potential recruits all in a couple simple steps. Keeping your name in their minds.
Another fun ideal for your newsletter is to have a product of the month or any fun things for the month that you have going on with your business.

Another of my email ideas that you can send to your new email list is educating your customer. Use these emails to give value to your customer, tell them why and how, and teach them something.
Do you sell natural skincare, explain why chemicals are bad for you, or the benefits of using lavender. Keep them educated on WHY they need to use your product without saying buy my product. You will then have a shop button and links pointing to your products of course.
4. Forward LIVE videos or great posts
This is one of the easiest of all the email ideas that you can send to your new email list. This is so simple and SO effective. Especially since not many people are going to see your LIVE videos, and definitely not your posts.
When you are doing all kinds of crazy work to gain ranking in the algorithm it is super time-consuming. Instead, you can make that post and do that LIVE but then email it to your customers. For more help on LIVE videos check these posts, I have this post for you. and this one.
TIP: If you send the LIVE video send the link so that they go to Facebook to watch it. That way you do get more views and when they comment or like it, it will move to the top of the newsfeed again.
5. Tutorials and demos
You can send tutorials for your email subscribers that have purchased from you before. Walk them through how to use your products. Show them different ways to use that product.
If they don’t have your products yet, and they see you use them, they may be persuaded to buy. Or maybe you are showing them something that they did not know they could do with your products.
6. Sales, events, and promos
This one is obvious. You can forward any exciting news that is going on in your business. Everyone loves a good sale, that is an easy way to get a sale. It’s also a great way to get people to attend your events. They don’t know if you don’t invite them! Invite them to your LIVE videos to get more views.
7. Giveaways and freebies
Free worksheets, books, checklists, everyone loves free things. If you do not have a good opt-in yet, get one! Create a shopping list for your customer if you are a health coach or a checklist for moms that are packing for vacation. A free ebook on the effect or how to use Lavender is a great gift to a customer.
Another thing that freebies work is getting people to opt-in to your email list. Let’s go with Essential oils again, for instance, you can promote your free ebook about lavender and collect their email in the opt-in. I went over this a bit in this video introducing email marketing.
You can also do a customer appreciation giveaway, be creative the options are endless here and VERY effective.
8. Thank you (attending a party or purchasing)
Lastly, this is more personalized of the email ideas that you can send to your new email list. Send thank you emails. People like to feel special and important you can personalize emails.
After an in-home or online party, I like to send everyone an email thanking them for coming or buying. I collect emails during that party for this reason. So even if they didn’t buy they are still on your email list and familiar with your products so when they are ready to buy they have your info in front of them.
There are so many ways to communicate with your customers and potential customers. These are just my top email ideas that you can send to your new email list.
It’s also important to let your network know that you have an email list. You can get new people to join your list all the time. Especially, if you are offering something free like samples or a guide.
These tips are only meant to increase your reach!
